Need a quick sandwich for a decent price? Subway is good for that. The local Subways are typically consistent when it comes to quality and portions. I have been to a few that leave a lot to be desired.
The Subway here in Marlborough isn't too bad depending on the staff. Last stop in was mediocre at best. Nothing that blew my mind, yet nothing that would necessarily keep me from coming back. Nothing impressionable and if I knew I would be passing a better sandwich shop on my journeys, I would definitely wait and spend the extra dollar or two somewhere else.
I usually stop into a Subway if I'm short on time and/or just have that urge for a grinder and I'm passing by. But all in all, convenience and instant satisfaction is the only thing that continues to get me through the door at this Subway, or typically any Subway -

Costumer service is really awesome but it just takes way too long to get a simple sandwich. Normally at any other subway it takes 3 minutes to get a sandwich and leave and I was in this place for almost 10 minutes. One girl came in after me and was out within that 3 minute time frame while I was stuck being helped by a girl who was training a new employee. They did a great job, but it was just super inconvenient because I had to get to work.

I don't demand a whole lot from Subway, but there are certain levels of cleanliness and customer service that you should be able to expect going in to any restaurant. Don't get your hopes up over here. The "sandwich artist" really seemed to hate himself, his job, his customers, and probably most other things as well. His own hygiene standards seemed to match those of the shop. The drink cooler was poorly stocked. The veggies looked sad and wilted. Bread was stale. There are three pizza places less than a quarter mile away. Any one will make a better sandwich than this poor excuse for an eating establishment. If you really gotta have that Subway though, there's another one down the road a few miles into East Hampton. At least they mop their floors and smile as they serve you overpriced, substandard sandwiches.

Convenient location for easy in and easy out right near the center of town in Marlborough. Not a lot of seating inside. The staff is usually quick and efficient. Sandwiches and salads are what you expect from Subway. If you don't like D&D it's pretty much the only other 'fast food' choice in town.

Wanted a toasted Italian BMT but the toaster was broken. Unacceptable at a subway. Only thing that keeps them from getting one star is that they called at 8 am To get it fixed and still nobody came. Ordered a meatball instead. Otherwise everything was fine. At least it wasn't their fault and they made the effort to get the toaster fixed.
